Our Story

Mudbug Metalworks is a husband-and-wife jewelry studio where dreams become silver. I design each piece, and my husband shapes it by hand, turning imagination into meaningful, wearable art.

Adventure has always been in his blood — he grew up traveling the U.S. in an RV, discovering hidden treasures along the way. Meeting him introduced me to rockhounding and exploring, and now I can’t imagine a life without it.

Every piece we create is inspired by the earth, our journeys, and the stories we carry. Mudbug Metalworks isn’t just jewelry — it’s adventure captured in silver.

Our mission is to create jewelry using stones found within the United States, each one carrying the character and beauty of the land it came from.

We’re drawn to these natural treasures — their color, texture, and individuality. Every piece we make is a way of honoring the landscape, shaped by hand and made to be part of your story.

Our Materials

At Mudbug Metalworks, every piece begins with something found — a stone discovered, a texture admired, a story waiting to be told.

All of our stones are thoughtfully sourced within the United States, each hand-selected for its movement, color, and unique character — no two are ever alike. Every so often, we sneak in an Australian opal, chosen with the same care and love.

We do not mass produce. Each stone is chosen for a reason, and each piece is shaped by hand. What you wear is not just jewelry — it is a small piece of the earth, thoughtfully gathered and carefully crafted.
